"Doc Holliday is my best 'furry buddy.' Since his birth, we have been attached at the hip. His courage and affection for me go without question. He is brave and more than willing to try what I ask of him. He has received many obedience awards. When he's at training class, he is very attentive and watches my every move. His ability to please is overwhelming. In the field he is what I call a 'soft hunter.' He works very close. He is not an aggressive hunter. When the time arises to retrieve, he is very outgoing. He has retrieved pheasants that I would of given up for lost birds. The only thing he asks out of a hunting trip is his own bed and a chance to jump into the swimming pool at the hotel. In the summer time, he spends most of his time wet--we live at the lake year round, so for any Flat Coat, this is heaven. Doc will be King at my house for many years to come. When I ask, he lets me know that I belong to him."
